Qun SONG

I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD) Pillar, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). I was an Assistant Professor at Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, from 2022 to 2024. I received my Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Before that, I received my B.Eng. from Nankai University.
My research focuses on advancing the reliability and efficiency of AI-powered cyber-physical systems (CPSs) and Internet of Things (IoT) deployments. I develop novel techniques to address critical challenges in AI-powered CPSs and IoT systems, including defense mechanisms against adversarial examples, cross-modal architectures that effectively fuse data from multiple sensors, and lightweight and efficient AI models that enable real-time performance on embedded devices.
I have openings for 1-2 fully-funded Ph.D. students with strong interest in developing robust and efficient AI-powered CPS/IoT systems. Check the job description here.
I have openings for 1-2 research assistants/associates/fellows to work on acoustic SLAM. Check the job description here.
Self-funded and CSC-funded visiting students are welcome to join our team.
