Research Assistants/Associates/Fellows Openings

1-2 research assistant/associate/fellow positions are available in the Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD) Pillar, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Interested applicants can send their CVs, transcripts, and representative publications to qun_song@sutd.edu.sg. Successful candidates will directly work with Dr. Qun Song. The candidates will conduct research in acoustic sensing and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM).

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s (for research assistant), Master’s degree (for research associate), or Doctoral degree (for research fellow) in CS/EE/Math or related fields with good grades.
  • Solid programming skills and prototyping capabilities.
  • Research experience in sensing, signal processing, deep learning, robotics, SLAM, and related domains is preferred.

About the Supervisor

Dr. Qun Song received Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and B.Eng. from Nankai University, China. Her research interests include the Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, and artificial intelligence. She published multiple papers in top-tier conferences and journals including SenSys, UbiComp, MobiCom, IPSN, USENIX Security, AAAI, IJCAI, TMC, TOSN, and TDSC. She is the recipient of the 2023 MobiCom Best Community Contribution Award, the 2022 SenSys Best Paper Award Finalist, and the 2021 IPSN Best Artifact Award Runner-up.
